Perhaps you’ve just studied a chapter of the bible, and it looks like this:

And the commentary you’re consulting just said one more noteworthy thing you would normally add to your bible, but there’s a problem!
There is no more space!
You’re scratching your head. What do you do?
In this post, I’ll be teaching you what you can do if you ever run out of space in your bible for notes, even if you have a journaling bible.
Method 1: Glue a piece of paper (tip-in) with notes on it into the binding of your bible.

Step One: Apply glue to the edge of the piece of paper like so.

Step Two: Make sure you angle the glue slightly off 90 degrees, until there is a bit of it along the side of the paper, like so. Don’t just apply the glue to the edge, apply some of it to the sides too.

(Angle it like this.)

Step Three: Stick the paper into the binding of your bible.

Step Four: Close your bible, and press it along the edge here, as pictured above, so the glue can do its work.
And you’re done!
But maybe you don’t like this method. And you’re thinking, is there another way? There is!
Method 2: Add a tip in with washi tape.

Step One: Stick a piece of washi tape along the edge of your tip in like so, with part of it sticking out.

Step Two: Stick the piece of paper into the binding of your bible like so, with a bit of space separated from the actual seam. This is because sticking it incorrectly into the seam might end up bulking your bible, which means you might have a bible that’s too chunky to be used.
But maybe you don’t like the look of this.
Method 2.5: How to stick a tip in into the seam securely.
Shoutout to Rebecca Ly for this method! Check out her page: https://www.youtube.com/@rebeccaly

Step One: Stick the washi tape to the side of your piece of paper like so, with part of it extending out.

Step Two: Use a ruler, and flip the extension of the washi tape back onto the ruler.

Step Three: Together with the ruler, stick it securely into the seam of your bible. This means you can add paper into your bible while prolonging its lifespan.
But maybe you don’t like washi tape, because it covers part of the text you’ve already written. Here is a way out of that problem:
Method 3: Tape the tip in into the edges of your pages with clear tape.

Step One: Stick a piece of tape like you did with the washi tape. You can use Scotch magic tape that is translucent like the one I used in the picture.

Step Two: Place the tip in with the tape along the edge you want the tip in to sit along at.

Step Three: Fold the extended piece of tape over to the next page, and you will be able to see anything you’ve written below underneath the clear tape!
If you need a link to this tape, here it is:

I hope this helped you, if you were wondering about how to add paper to your bible.
If any of these methods don’t work for you, you can always try this:

Using sticky notes!
There are plenty of other ways out there where you can add more journaling space to your bible, just do a quick google search.
Happy bible journaling!
God bless.
