I came across this question one day in a Christian discord server.
And it was the same thing that used to trouble me.
When I was much younger, I made sure not to speak to God while I sat on the toilet bowl.
I was afraid to offend Him, because even then, I knew God was holy and had to be respected.
But as I grew up, I slowly began to stop believing that.
And let me tell you with great confidence:
God is not offended when you pray while you do your business in the toilet!
Trust me, even if Heaven had no toilets, I am sure that in my mansion that Jesus prepared for me, there would definitely be a bathroom in it!
Why?
Because, my dear friend, some of my biggest prayers were spoken while I was peeing or pooping!
You see, I grew up with a family where nobody was Christian. Most of my family even hated God.
I had to hide my devotions to God in the toilet often. I had no choice but to pray there, because I enjoyed praying on my knees.
And truly, all the prayers I prayed from the toilet were mightily answered!
My first real big breakthrough was a prayer that mostly took place in the toilet, right next to the toilet bowl.
I prayed for character success, and God handed me the breakthrough a decade later.
My friend, God made all of your body. That includes your bowels.
He is in full control of all your bodily functions. It is because of His power that you can defecate healthily.
God is not offended by your pee or poop.
Otherwise, He would not have said this:
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 (English Standard Version)
16 Rejoice always, 17 pray without ceasing, 18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
Pray without ceasing, meaning even when you’re on the toilet bowl, or standing under the shower head.
Rest assured, my friend.
Go on and pray in the toilet, and everywhere else.
God bless.
