I’ve always wanted to know the answer to this question. And I’m sure you are the same. We love God, so of course we want to know if we’ve made Him happy. We want to know if our ways, our actions and thoughts are aligned with His will, and if they put a smile on His face. Any loving child wants to believe that they’ve made their Parent happy. So I would like to introduce you to a bible verse that shows you how you can have that assurance:
1 John 3:22: And whatever we ask we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and do those things that are pleasing in His sight.
In your walk with Christ, have you noticed that all your prayers have eventually been answered? It might be that not every prayer was answered exactly, but they’ve all received a Yes in some shape, way or form. If you realise that God always gives you what you ask for, then have peace tonight, my beloved, because He is well pleased with you.
Why? Because you keep His commandments, and you also do the things that He likes. So not only do you do what is your duty to do, you also go beyond that and do also the things that are not expected of you to please God. If you’ve been doubting in your heart lately that He’s not happy with you, then I hope this verse puts peace in your heart.
God is pleased with you.
